Michelle Lose is an artist, mother and teacher, who has always had a passion for shoes and a desire to pursue a sales-related business. She began decorating sneakers as a way to cope with her 2-year-old daughter’s diagnosis with Leukemia.
In June 2000, with encouragement from family and friends, Lose decided to turn her unique shoe designs into an online wedding business where she could provide bride’s with comfortable custom footwear while allowing the sales of her shoes to helping fund cancer research. Thus began Shoeprincess Designs.
15 years later, Lose is still helping many brides find the perfect footwear for their weddings. The sales of her shoes have increased every year, and she has grown a very successful business. Lose is grateful that her daughter is now cured of her cancer. She continues to donate a portion of every sale to the Leukemia Research Foundation which helps fund research toward curing this disease.
Lose offers five sales tips to small business owners who offer a product to their customers, particularly products such as apparel or shoes. She has found these five points to be most successful for her business growth.
